2-Day Boot Camp

Who can Join? 

Kids age 9 to 16 years old
UEC student and Non-UEC student

How much is the joining fee? & what are the inclusions?

Lunch meal and AM snacks;

2-day writing boot camp, certificate and giveaway

When? 

February 22 & 23, 2020 Saturday - Sunday 
8:30am to 4pm

What to bring?

Preferably laptop,

How many words to write ?

1,500 words

What is the theme for the short story ?

Theme of the story will only be revealed on the day of the competition.

How many hours to finish the story?

The participants are given 2 hours to finish it.

Who are the judges ?

Judges are from UEC head office and UEC Singapore 

When will the online voting for the Reader’s Choice award be?

Start:  Feb 29   Saturday  6pm

End:   March 7 Saturday   9pm

When will be the announcement of the winners? And where will it be announced?

Top 3 winners

Are the parents allowed to stay and watch the competition?

Parents are not allowed to  stay and watch the boot camp and competition.

​

Parents will be allowed to come inside the venue on Feb 23 Sunday at 2:30pm for the awarding ceremony.

What is the awarding ceremony stated in the program for Feb 23?

It is to recognize and award the kids who participated in the Branch Level Competition and won as reader’s choice award and the top 3 winners.

 

All kids will be given certificate of recognition for joining the boot camp.

When and Where will be the awarding for the winners?

No more awarding ceremony for the 3rd placer, 2nd placer and reader’s choice awardee.  The prizes will be sent out directly to the winners.

 

As for the 1st placer, the PH Champion, the awarding ceremony will be held at Singapore. Complete details about it will be sent out through email.
